MesQuilla - Forum: JunQuilla Simple:Press Version 5.7.3 BigMike on Support for Thunderbird 60 JunQuilla Hi,

I'm using your addons for years. With the latest release of Thunderbird, JunQuilla options are unusable, the addon seems to be still working fine.
Could you please update it, so that it's fully compatible?

Thank you

Ralf on Reset percentages? JunQuilla Hi Kent,
another thing: When trying to view/change profile-settings in the forum I only get this error-message:

Profile form could not be found: [Account Settings]
You might try the forum - toolbox - housekeeping admin form and reset the profile tabs and menus and see if that helps

Didn't find any other contact option therefore posting this here.

Ralf on Reset percentages? JunQuilla Hi Kent,
not totally true.

I tested further and the percentages are updated after each change in the filter but only on the calculated ones. They won't update on the manually selected or the ones trusting Spamassassin or similar antispam headers.

Do you know a way to reset the junk-status of a mail to Untested, Neutral, or alike?
Is that behavior defined in Junquilla or is that sth from the core-implementation of TB?

'til later, Ralf

rkent on Reset percentages? JunQuilla The displayed values will not change, as those were what is shown when
you first downloaded the message.

But you can check the result of training on a message by (right-click)
"Junk analysis detail" or for the folder by Tools/"Run junk mail
controls on folder"

Ralf on Reset percentages? JunQuilla Hi Overthere,
I'm using Junquilla for some time now and like it very much! 🙂

There's only one thing: I'd like to retrain the Junk-filter now and then but Junk+ and Junk% won't reset. How can I update them with the new filter? It also seems that once J+ is set the filter won't touch the message at all. Is that correct?

Have a great weekend!

rkent on Apple Mail has broken JunQuilla JunQuilla This issue is broader is not really with JunQuilla, it is a core issue. JunQuilla is simply reporting, actually correctly, that "someone flagged this message as good" - that someone here being Apple Mail.

I suggest any discussion be on the Mozilla bug and not here. I've already replied once there, I'll see if I can add anything. (Without JunQuilla, you would probably completely miss that the email was flagged as good)

leeaurich on Apple Mail has broken JunQuilla JunQuilla On my Mac computer I use Apple Mail, and on my Debian server Thunderbird. Thunderbird provides all spam filtering for the IMAP accounts, as the server is on 24/7 and we receive 1500+ spam per day.

Apple's most recent OS upgrade, Yosemite, has broken the IMAP flags and is confusing JunQuilla.

Prior to the upgrade to Yosemite, when Apple Mail (with Apple Mail Spam off) downloaded a message, it set no IMAP FLAGS on the ISP server.

The Yosemite version of Apple Mail now immediately sets three IMAP FLAGS when it downloads a message: NonJunk $NotJunk NotJunk

When these flags are seen by Thunderbird, JunQuilla reports a goodflag.png [Classification was determined by a flag on an IMAP message.] The JunQuilla Junk % column is blank for the message. Right clicking on a sample message, Junk Analysis Detail shows a Running % of 98%. Clicking the Is Junk button changes the JunQuilla flag to gooduser.png, and the Junk % column is still blank.

Looking at the IMAP FLAGS on the server, when the Thunderbird Is Junk button is pressed, the FLAGS change to: \Seen Junk $NotJunk NotJunk

I have filed a bug report with Apple (and heard nothing). I also submitted a problem ticket in Bugzilla:

Thanks for considering a patch for this. I was so delighted to discover JunQuilla a few years ago; it has made life bearable WRT spam.

rkent on I'm curious what these tokens mean... JunQuilla Those are generated by this core code:

631 // there is value in generating a token indicating the number
632 // of characters we are skipping. We'll round to the nearest 10
633 nsCString skipToken;
634 skipToken.AssignLiteral("skip:");
635 skipToken.Append(word[0]);
636 skipToken.Append(' ');
637 skipToken.AppendInt((wordLength/10) * 10);
638 add(skipToken.get());

That is, tokens are limited in length. When overlength tokens are encountered, it collapses them into a single token which contains the starting letter, and the length of the token (rounded to the nearest tenth).

justaquestion on I'm curious what these tokens mean... JunQuilla Hello. I recently installed Junquilla 1.0.3 and its great! It's nice to see what's going on with the junk filter on my Thunderbird. Very helpful...

But I have been seeing several tokens in the "junk analysis detail" that I have no idea what they mean... and I see it often on various emails. I'm just curious what they are, such as:

skip:c 80
skip:c 70
skip:u 10
skip:c 60
skip:( 10
skip:w 10
skip:- 60
skip:r 20

This is a sample of tokens I often see, which I've searched for tirelessly within the email sources and always come up empty. So what are they and what causes these tokens? Confused

Thank you for responding!

One of the best add-ons ever!

f150 on Can't delete junk mail JunQuilla This Win8 computer is up for weeks at a time. I thought it can't hurt to clear old memories. Rebooted then re-enabled Junquilla. I junked one message, then deleted it from the Junk Mail folder. I think it's working.
