I don't know if this could be done by an extension, but since this is the only (I believe) gloda-related extension, I try, maybe...
Could it be possible for GlodaQuilla to allow user to change the location of the gloda database, global-messages-db.sqlite, which now is inside the user profile root?
It's actually a feature object of a filed bug, https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=535137 .
Thank You, and thanks for Your great extensions!

I looked at the underlying code for this (http://mxr.mozilla.org/comm-au.....re.js#1058 if you are interested). This would not be straightforward to override with an extension. But it would be quite simple to modify the core code so that, for example, you could set a path to the gloda data file in a hidden preference. Then you could put it where you want on your local system.
I'm not really a gloda guru. The guy who is quite active in gloda these days is Jonathan, who did the Conversations extension (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/thunderbird/addon/gmail-conversation-view) and I believe is also a paid staff person at Mozilla. If he wanted this to happen it would happen quickly - though he might not like my simple solution since it is only aimed at email experts and not the average user.
I could probably get that pushed through as well, and I would rather do it in core than in an extension. But I'm not really that active in core development any more.
